'Discovery' is a solo piano album by Mika Pohjola, originally recorded at his home in East Village, New York in 1998. The original tape was lost for twelve years, and found and re-mastered in 2010. With the exception of the opening and closing tracks, the music is all improvised. The opening track, 'Mood 4.30 A.M.', is a multitrack recording with three piano layers. The 11-track recording is an intimate portrait achieved in a relaxed home recording atmosphere.
